I'm Dave. Thanks for listening to my music!
When I was younger, I took myself way too seriously. I had it all figured out and I knew I was on the right track.
I guess I didn't give myself a chance to work through my teenage angst until I was in my 30s. And then... life happened. All things considered, I've done okay. But along the way I also got a little chewed up and spat out a couple of times by the military and corporate America, and I was starting to see the cracks in the foundational assumptions of my youth.
So I started writing songs about the things that bother me- social injustice, rampant consumerism, the excesses of Corporate America, toxic masculinity, etc.
So far I've been doing it all on my own- every step of recording and production. I've learned a lot along the way. But I'd love to collaborate or just share what I know if it could help someone out.
Lots of my favorite people have been brought into my life through music. So if anything in my songs resonates with you, please drop me a line.
